Kidsgrove Athletic, who ended fourth in the table last season, will sport the new strip against Glapwell in the new Evo-Stick League at the club’s Seddon Stadium on Tuesday, August, 24th (7.45pm kick off).

The announcement comes after Premiership club, Aston Villa and Spanish side, Barcelona made the headlines in 2008 after adopting charity logos on their shirts to promote their charity partnerships.

The Caudwell Children logo has also been placed on the team mini-bus and there are plans to stage a number of fundraisers with the club throughout the season to boost funds for the charity.

To date the Charity has donated over £12 million to thousands of children with over 300 different medical conditions. What makes the Charity unique is that all the administration and management costs are covered by entrepreneur and philanthropist, John Caudwell, meaning that every penny raised can go directly to the children.

Formed in 1952, Kidsgrove Athletic Football Club plays in the Evo-Stick Northern Premier League Division One, where they ended the 2009/2010 in fourth place, a record for the club. Situated at Seddon Stadium, Hollinswood Road, Kidsgrove the club is currently managed by Peter Ward.

Quotes

We are truly thrilled and proud to be working with Kidsgrove Athletic Football Club to help raise the profile of Caudwell Children. We hope by building awareness we will be able to reach more families in the local area in need of help with vital equipment, treatment or therapy for a disabled child. It is because of the club’s enthusiasm, generosity and commitment that we are able to continue such vital work in Stoke on Trent and we would like to wish the club the very best of luck for the start of the new season and moving forward.

Trudi Beswick, Chief Executive Officer for Caudwell Children
