They will battle it out in a charity football match on Sunday, August 15th at the Kidsgrove Athletic ground after learning about the work of Stoke-based charity, Caudwell Children.

The Club will also be home to a Family Fun Day with Bouncy Castle, stalls, face painter and entertainers to raise funds for the Charity followed by an evening of live entertainment, comedian and karaoke.

Caudwell Children is committed to changing the lives of children by providing individual donations of specialist equipment, treatment and therapy as well as its annual ‘Destination Dreams’ holiday for families coping with a child’s terminal illness.

To date the Charity has donated over £12 million to thousands of children with over 300 different medical conditions. What makes the Charity unique is that all the administration and management costs are covered by entrepreneur-turned-philanthropist, John Caudwell, meaning that every penny raised can go directly to the children.

Kick off will take place at Kidsgriove Athletic Football Club, Hollinwood Close, at 3pm. Doors will open to the Family Fun Day from 12 noon.

Quotes

“It is down to the generosity and commitment of clubs, companies and individuals like this in the local community that we are able to continue the work of Caudwell Children and really make a difference to the lives of sick and disabled children.”

Trudi Beswick, Chief Executive for Caudwell Children

Kidsgrove Athletic and The Blue Mugge have been fantastic in offering their support to Caudwell Children and we cannot thank them enough for their help. The event is set to be very exciting and rewarding for all those involved, which will benefit youngsters in need of therapy, treatment and specialist equipment within the local community. We would urge anyone in the area looking for a fun day out for all the family to support the Club’s efforts by joining the fun day and evening entertainment.
