A family are making a heartfelt plea to the public to help them raise the final £10,000 they need to complete their daughters wish to walk independently for the first time.

The family’s original appeal was for £60,000 but they never reached that target and now care costs are mounting and a further procedure is needed.

Last year five-year-old Honey Lock from Burnham-on-Crouch flew out to St Louis, Missouri to undergo a life changing operation to help her walk unaided, but now Honey needs to return for a post-operative assessment to check her progress andfor important surgery on both her eyes.

A fundraising appeal has been launched to make a disabled 5-year-old’s biggest wish come true.

Like other 5- year-old girls, Abbey Evans from Mayland, has lots of dreams and wishes. She may have dreams of being a singer, ballerina or a princess; but her biggest wish is to be able to walk unaided for the first time. It has been announced this week that national charity, Caudwell Children, have come on board to help make this happen.

So far Abbey’s young life has been affected by living with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy, which causes her to have stiffness and pain in her legs, making it impossible for her to run around with her friends and when at home she often has to crawl or walk on her knees.

A group of clairvoyants and mediums from across the North West put one family in good spirits at the weekend, when they raised nearly £2500 to help five year old St Helens girl, Susanna Petersburska, get one step closer to achieving her dream of walking independently for the first time.

The evening of clairvoyance which was held at Eccleston Social club; saw a number of mediums take to the stage to give demonstrationsand offer private readings to an audience of170 people.

The night,organised by Philomena Denton from Preston Road, didn’t just offer messages; attendees could also take part in a raffle, take their chance on the lucky dip and enjoy a bite to eat. Philomena decided to organise the event after hearing about Susanna’s plight from a friend.

A group of clairvoyants and mediums from across the North West are coming together on Friday 20^th April to help change the future of St Helens girl Susanna Petersburska and help her dream of walking unaided for the first time come true.

The clairvoyants and mediums will take to the stage at Eccleston Social Club (Triplex), Knowsley Road for an event in aid of the 5 year old, whose family need to raise £60,000 so Susanna can undergo a life changing operation.

The evening will see a number clairvoyants and mediums from the region come together for this one-off event. Each clairvoyant will take to the stage and give readings to members of the audience. It is hoped the event will go some way towards funding Susanna’s treatment.

Members of a Chadwell karate club are putting their endurance to the test on Saturday 31^st March by taking part in a gruelling 50 round challenge to raise money to help local boy, three-year-old Reece Walker walk for the first time.

The five martial artists who train at Zenshin-do Karate club will be aiming display 100 different karate techniques in each three minute round. The money raised from the event will help the Walker family from Stamford-le-Hope raise the remaining amount of money needed before Reece has his life changing operation on 3^rd April.

Caudwell Children will launch the new youth club from Wednesday, March 7^th taking place each month and offering a range of activities including fire station tours, cooking and crafts, sports, drama, talent competitions and much more.

Based at Swan Bank Church, Burslem, the new youth club aims to give 8 to 18 year olds with disabilities the chance to socialise, learn new skills and have fun.

One of the UK’s most exclusive charity balls has re-named its annual fundraiser in honour of the Queen’s Jubilee Celebrations.

Cycling enthusiasts are being urged to join an overseas challenge of a lifetime to help change lives.

National charity, Caudwell Children, will stage The Rajasthan Tiger Challenge in India later this year, which will take participants 480kms across Rajasthan, also known as the Land of Kings.

They will bike through deserts, exquisite forts and bustling cities. By the end they will be one of few mountain bikers in the World to explore this idyllic region, punctuated with villages reminiscent of time gone by.

Ten-year-old Estheruth Bowes from Worsley has Cerebral Palsy, a condition that affects her mobility and means she requires a wheelchair for her day to day needs.
